Before introcular tension is raised by the ODM to determine the additional pressure required to observe the collapse of the central retinal vein, the baseline intraocular pressure (IOP) is taken from a tonometer reading. For every ODM measurement in the Mt. Everest cohort, these are plotted against elevation. There is no significant correlation of mean IOP with change in altitude.
