A) Percentages of all fibres positive for markers of degeneration, inflammation and cell stress in GNE myopathy (left panel, note the highest values for αB-crystallin and iNOS). Subtype analysis of fibres positive for αB-crystallin and iNOS (both panels on the right). Data presented as mean plus SEM. B) Correlation analysis of fibres positive for αB-crystallin, NCAM, MHC-I and iNOS by immunohistochemical staining demonstrates a significant association between these markers.
