Immunohistochemistry of inflammatory and degenerative markers in skeletal muscle of IBM patients before and after treatment with alemtuzumab. No significant changes were observed for CD8, MHC-I, the proinflammatory chemokine CXCL-9 and the cytokine IL-1β. Similarly, the degeneration-associated molecules nitrotyrosine, β-amyloid, αB-crystallin and NCAM remained without major variation.
