Fig. 3From: A new nomogram for individualized prediction of the probability of hemorrhagic transformation after intravenous thrombolysis for ischemic stroke patientsAn example of how to use the nomogram to predict chance of HT after thrombolysis. In this example, we calculated the predicted probability of HT in a patient with hypertension, a NIHSS score of 5, the total CSVD burden score of 3, and the OTT time greater than 180 min. Points are assigned for each feature: 33 for the CDS score of 1, 72 for the total CSVD burden score of 3, 46 for OTT time greater than 180 min, and 0 for NIHSS score of 5. The total of 151 points corresponds to a nearly 13.7% chance of HT after thrombolysis for this patient. The formula for calculating probability of HT is provided in the data supplement. Abbreviations: CDS: chronic disease scale (hypertension, diabetes mellitus, atrial fibrillation); CSVD: cerebral small vascular diseases; NIHSS: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale; OTT: onset-to-treatment time for thrombolysisBack to article page
