Sex differences in VZV induced aversive response. Male and female whisker pads were injected with either MeWo cells or MeWo cells infected with 650 pfu/ μl VZV. PEAP testing was completed weekly over six weeks, each panel shows data for a different week. In panel a the upper row of asterisks indicate a significant difference between the Female MeWo and Female pOka treatment groups and the lower row of asterisks indicate a significant difference between the Male MeWo and Male pOka treatment groups.
