This figure illustrates the distribution of gait speed of all measurements of all participants (A), and a stacked distribution of three measurements of one randomly selected participant (B). In figure 1B, it is visible that the distribution of gait speed shifts to the right over time, indicating that the average and maximal gait speed increased over time. Gait speed measured with the corresponding 2MWT was 0.75m/s at T0, 1.16m/s at T2, and 1.28m/s at T3. Gait epochs with gait speed 0.05 m/s were excluded from the analysis, as gait characteristics below this speed could not be determined reliably
