  1. Data are reported as median and range (brackets). Average FP-CIT binding in the caudate nucleus (CN) and putamen (PT) was significantly reduced in subjects with PD subjects compared to HC. On the contrary, PD patients showed a significantly increased binding in the LC area (both right and left regions). We defined contralateral brain regions opposite to that of PD signs presentation. For HC, we referred to the right side as ipsilateral [15].
