A clear sparsity of reconstructed streamlines in the ipsilesional hemisphere compared to the contralesional side has been observed. Warm colours represent higher fractional anisotropy; cool colours represent lower fractional anisotropy. Note the drop in FA as the left corticospinal tract passes by the posterior part of the lesion.
