Summary of magnetic resonance imaging axial images. Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reveals a heterogeneously gadolinium-enhanced lesion with edema in the left temporo-occipital lobe (A: FLAIR, B: contrast-enhanced T1). MRI before the second surgery shows a contrast-enhanced lesion with edema deep in the postoperative cavity (C: FLAIR, D: contrast-enhanced T1). MRI after the second surgery shows that all contrast-enhanced lesions have been resected (E: FLAIR, F: contrast-enhanced T1). The final MRI, performed 37 months after the initial surgery, shows no intracranial tumors (G: FLAIR, H: contrast-enhanced T1)
